Tokyo to Osaka and Hiroshima

Hi there
We will be travelling to Japan, in September this year, and are first going to Okinawa for 4 days, then we come back to Tokyo.
We are then taking train to Osaka for 3 days and want to go to Hiroshima, and also visit Kyoto, before heading back to Yokohama before a cruise..
Are these itineraries able to be done on the JRPass,,
We are getting a 7 day pass as we return to Tokyo on 17 September and our cruise is 23rd September, so this should work well hopefully...
Also we have an elderly parent with us,, not disabled but uses a walking frame{portable) is this able to be taken as well?

Hi Neil,

Yes, you can visit Hiroshima, Kyoto, Osaka and Yokohama using the JR Pass. You would make very good savings on this route with the pass.

I am not completely sure what your question is about the walking frame but I think you mean whether it can be taken on board? Yes, this can be done.

How can we tell which lines are included in the JRPass when we plan our trips?

Also we were thinking of seeing a Sumo Competition while in Tokyo,, will they be running during September??
