just wanted to check if a JR Pass would be suitable for me.
we'll be travelling to Japan April (13 days in total) next year and we're looking for options.

We'll be landing in Haneda Airport.
then maybe head straight for Kyoto and spend about 3 days there.
then head to Osaka for USJ (maybe a day trip back and forth to Kyoto?)
then back to Tokyo.

would you suggest getting a JR Pass? or look for other options?

Hello there,

A 7 day JR Pass is a very interesting option for this trip if you make the return Tokyo - Osaka with it. The cost of a 7 day JR pass is about the same as a normal return ticket Tokyo - Osaka using the Shinkansen.

Any additional travel you do with the JR Pass is basically how much he saves.

Hope this helps,
