should i buy a JR pass

Hi ,

We are going to Japan for 8 days , we will be visiting tokyo and we want to go for a day trip to kyoto , does it worth to buy a JR pass ?

Hi there,

This JR Pass will be an interesting option to consider for sure. The cost of a 7 day JR Pass is just below the cost of a normal return ticket Tokyo - Kyoto using the Shinkansen trains. Add in a one way Tokyo - Narita Airport and you are already making savings.

The JR Pass is also valid on the local JR Network in Tokyo and is also a great excuse to add a 2nd day trip, like Kamakura or Nikko.
