Hi,

We will be travelling to Japan in March 2018 and will be flying in Osaka and fly out Narita.

Our itinerary is as follows:

March 17 - 21 - Osaka

day 1 - we will be getting Osaka Kaiyu ticket,
day 2 - Kansai thru pass (for 3 days) to Himeji Castle,
day 3 - JR Osaka to USJ,
day 4 - Kansai thru pass (for 3 days) to Momofoku Ando Instant Ramen)

March 21 - 23 - Kyoto (Kansai thru pass (3rd day) from Osaka to Nara Park to Kyoto and Kyoto day pass to Monkey park)

March 23 - 25 - Hakone (Hakone free pass for 2 days)

Here's my question, can we get 1 day JR Pass from Kyoto to Nagoya (day trip) then to Hakone? then get another 1 day JR Pass from Hakone to Tokyo?

We might get JR Pass to Nikko as well as we will be going there on March 28 - 29.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Beth

Hi there,

There is no 1 day JR Pass. Your best option is to simply buy a normal ticket for the trip that is not covered by the other local passes that you'll be using.

Kind regards,
Daniel
