I read about the convenience of using prepaid cards in Japan.
I will be visiting Osaka, Kyoto and Tokyo.
Can you recommend what type of prepaid card I should get for each area
and where to buy it?
Thank you

Hi Erica,

These days cards can be used interchangeable and all work the same. Just pick one up and use it everywhere.

In Osaka/Kyoto the most used card is called ICOCA while PASMO and Suica are frequently used around Tokyo. You can buy them at any ticket window.
