We have a group of 6 arriving in Japan 22nd Dec. We are travelling to Myoko Kogen on 23rd and worried the Shinkansen from Tokyo to Nagano May not have any seats when we book upon our arrival at Narita the day before. Can we pre book this Shinkansen in Australia before we leave?

We will not have a JR pass - can we still just book Shinkansen on that website without JR pass ? It does not look like we can?
