Need help! Which JR Pass to purchase?

My sister and I are first time travelers to Japan and need some help determining which pass to purchase.

We arrive on 23 Feb @ 9pm at KIX. We will stay in Osaka for 2 nights, head to Kyoto for 3 nights and back to Osaka for 2 nights before leaving via KIX.

Not too sure if I should buy a JR pass. And if I do, which one to purchase. Or will a Suica card be more apt?

Much appreciate your advice!

Hi there,

Kyoto and Osaka are very close together and travel costs won't be a lot.
I would just buy normal tickets or as you say, use a Suica card to get a round. Btw, Suica is called ICOCA in the Kansai Area but they are basically the same :)

Hope this helps,
