Hi,
Once I buy a JR pass for 14 days.. I have a few questions..
Can i board any bullet train on any day at any time from any station to any station depending on my places of interest of my choice or Do i have to pre book the reservation for the travel between destinations..
Can i board all Shinkansen trains operating in japan.. from any cities.. eg Takayama to Tokyo & Kyoto to Takayama under JR pass..
Please clarify..

Hi there,
1.) Yes, you can either board any train and take a non-reserved seat, or reserve ahead of time. The choice is yours :) There are a few trains like the Hayabusa Shinkansen - these do need a reservation and they can be made up to 5min before departure.
2.) Yes, the JR Pass is valid nation wide - and this the best way to really explore Japan.
