HI I will be going 2 Japan for the first time this end of August to September 8th. There are several questions that I need to know . For accommodation I have already had somewhere near to Disneyland

  1. Will be reaching Narita Airport on 31st morning. Will I need to get a bus or train to Tokyo right. Does my JR pass works here

  2. What can I do the first day in Japan. Can I go to Mt Fuji and then to some animae cosplay places (akihanara or akihabara not sure as I googled something there) . Like what time do they close

  3. 2nd and 3rd day we are going to Disneyland and DisneySea... a day each . so there goes my 3 day in Tokyo. So where can I go to Tokyo before I departs to Osaka

  4. In Osaka my first target will be the USJ and will spend a day there. again this will be done on the 2nd day in Osaka. So for the first day in Osaka where can I visit first? I will spending from 4th to the 8th. On the 8th I will have to be at kansai airport back home to SG

  5. Is there anytime I can visit Kyoto, My last target in Japan is to see Japan Culture like Geisha - Is there any place where cab be dressed up in japan kimono or like geisha so that we can make a memorable trip

6 Which JR passes suit us and how much will it cost for 2 adult and 2child
7. Is there easy access to halal foods and mosque?

Thank you in advance.. I hope anyone too who can help me :-)

Hi there,

1.) You can use the JR Pass to travel by rail into Tokyo but not by bus. The fastest way is to use the Narita Express to Tokyo, then a local line to Maihama station for Disneyland.

2.) Opening times depends on the individual attraction. For instance shops in Akihabara are open until 9-10 pm.

3.) You can pretty much go anywhere in Tokyo, some suggestion include Asakusa, Ginza, Akihabara, Harajuku, Ueno, Shinjuku, Omotesando, Ikeburuko, Shibuya, the lost goes on.

4.) In Osaka, I would visit Shinsaibashi/Dotonbori/Namba and Shinsekai.

5.) There are many places that do Kimono rental or a Geisha experience. Personally I like the Toei Movie village (Toei Eiga Mura in Japanese). There's something for everyone, from Samurai to Geisha.

6.) A 7 day JR Pass would be great if you can make a return Tokyo - Osaka and back. Pricing can be found here: https://www.jrpass.com/buy_the_japan_rail_pass_online

7.) You will have to look specifically for both in Japan. Not many people follow the Islam but Japan is friendly and accommodating for Muslim visitors. There are different websites out there with specific recommendations.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
