I have two questions:
1. My sisters are arriving into KIX airport from LAX about 3pm Friday May 19th then going to the Marriott Shin Osaka to meet me. Are they (3 passengers) better off taking a cab or the airport limousine bus to the hotel? Approximate cost? First time in Japan travelers.
2. Is there a ferry from Wakayama to Tokushima?

Hello Dianne,
1.) Kansai Airport is about 50km away from Osaka. Using a cab can easily cost 10.000yen or (much) more. Generally using the train or an airport limousine is cheaper. You can use a train for as little as 980yen/one way.
2.) Yes, you can use the Nankai Ferry. This is not included in the JR Pass but it is a fast way to get to Tokushima. You can find their website here it is only in Japanese. [This is the time table from Wakayama to Tokushima]). The ferry is the one on the right with 1便 to 9便. A one way ticket is 2,000円, add 500円 more if you want to make use of Green (First class).
