Tokyo-Kyoto-Osaka

Hi Terese,

The order of Kyoto/Osaka does not really matter much, as they are both very close. Many visitors just book a hotel in one city and visit the other city as a day trip. It's only a 30min train ride.

We probably don't high light Osaka enough on the blog :) but we do have suggestions for it if you look at the 14 day or 21 day itinerary options on there. There are also many suggestions here on the forum (just do a search).

I do recommend staying a couple days in Tokyo near the end of your trip, this will give you some time to relax from travel and easy shopping around Tokyo.
