Me and my wife are looking forward to our trip to Japan.
The itinerary is ( Oct 23-Nov 2).
- Reaching Tokyo on 23rd
- covering hakoni, Mt Fuji and nearby places ( does JR pass work well? )
- Tokyo to Kyoto
- Again nearby places including Hiroshima etc with base as Kyoto
- Kyoto to Osaka
- fly from Osaka to Okinawa
- Stay in Okinawa ( does JR pass work in Okinawa?)
- Fly back to Tokyo
Does pass makes sense for uswand how many days?

Hi there,
I would recommend using a 7 day JR Pass for travel to Kyoto, Hiroshima, Osaka and to Osaka Airport. You'll make good savings on this part and the JR Pass covers all travel between these places.
For Fuji, it depends where you go around the mountain. For details please see:

As there are no JR lines on Okinawa, there would be no point using the JR Pass there.
