Hello there,
If this is the only JR travel you intend to do on your trip, then a 7 day Japan Rail Pass (¥28,300) will cost approximately the same as purchasing separate tickets.
With a 7 day Japan Rail Pass however you will also cover the costs of your travel to and from Narita airport (¥2300 each way), and significant travel around Tokyo by JR lines (here's map of JR lines in Tokyo for reference). You also have flexibility to do day trips (for example to Hiroshima or Nikko as a day trip).
