Hello
Like to know if there is a night train travelling from Hiroshima to Osaka.
Do I need reservation and is it free using the JR pass. How long is the journey and what time it departs Hiroshima and arrival time in Osaka.
What other alternatives are there travelling at night between the above mentioned two places.

I'm afraid there is no night train going from Hiroshima to Osaka. The best available is the sunrise seto or izumo from Okayama. A good alternative is the Bullet train in the morning or late evening and possibly arranging a budget hotel in Osaka. If you are set on travelling by night, you could also look into the night buses provided by willier bus.
