It is my first time using a JR pass under the old price.
I seem to recall a rule about exit the gate using a JR pass one day after expiration and as long as it does not need to pass through any special gate, it would be okay and no need to add any fare difference.
Is there any rule like that for the day before the JR pass?
Here is my situation.
I will start my JR pass on Dec 4, and I have reserved my first train on Dec at Shizouka at 00:20 to Takamatsu.
I am currently in Gotemeba, I will either travel from Goetmeba or Mishima. If I dont exit the gate at Shizouka upon arrival and then transfer to my booked train at Shizouka at 00:20. what type of ticket would I need?
