How to reserve seats

Apologies for the late reply. You can make some reservations online for JR-East trains using the Eki-net website once you have activated the pass/set an activation date for the pass at an exchange location in Japan, which are typically found in JR-operated train stations. The rest of your train routes that aren't under the JR-East valid area need to be reserved at the same exchange locations (e.g. ticket/information desks) found inside JR-operated stations.
