Hello, I have already received my JRPass and will be in Tokyo next week. Can I reserve online my seats for the trains that I want to take once I get to Tokyo ? Do I have to wait to be personally in Tokyo and have my tickets activated there to reserve seats ? Once activated can I reserve seats online ? I can´t find this information in the web page, it isn´t clear at all in this matter. Thank you

Hi there,
Apologies for the late reply. You can make some reservations online for JR-East trains using the Eki-net website once you have activated the pass/set an activation date for the pass at an exchange location in Japan, which are typically found in JR-operated train stations. The rest of your train routes that aren't under the JR-East valid area need to be reserved at the same exchange locations (e.g. ticket/information desks) found inside JR-operated stations.
