Worth buying a jrpass?

As currently booked, I do not think that a JR Pass would help you make savings. A 7-day JR Pass would be worth it when used for a return Tokyo - Kyoto/14 within 7 days and a 14-day JR Pass would require more travel to be cost-efficient. So you're just in between both.

So we have now slightly changed our itinerary:

9-13/4 Tokyo (including day trip to nikko)
13-14/4 hakone
14-18/4 Kyoto (Day trip to Nara)
18-19/4 Osaka
19-20/4 mount koyasan
20-21/4 Osaka
21-22/4 Tokyo

I would really appreciate if you could help us decide whether it would be better to Purchase the jrpass or if you could please let us know What would be our best alternative?
