when to activate pass?

Hi there,

I would activate it on the first day that you arrive in Japan, this way you have the train fare covered from the Airport and can enjoy a smooth ride on the Narita Express to the heart of Tokyo. The pass will than be valid until the 23rd and you can use it to travel back to Tokyo.

You won't have to spend much travel while you are in Tokyo, as traveling is relatively cheap. Possibly you could save some money though by buying a Tokyo Metro Day pass these are just 710 Yen and allow for unlimited travel on the Tokyo Metro for a full day.
' On the way back to Narita Airport, you can use this bus which is just 1,000Yen, this is the most economic way to reach the Airport. Alternatively you can take the Narita Express back, also from Tokyo station which is around 3,000Yen but provides superb comfort.
