Hoping to understand what legs to use JR pass / local trains for a group trip in late Feb this year.
First, we are travelling from Tokyo to Gala Yuzawa Station.
My assumption would be to use the JR pass to use the shinkansen from Tokyo station to get to Gala-Yuzawa station.
Our next leg is from Gala-Yuzawa Station to Kawaguchiko.
This is where I am confused, would we use the JR pass to get back to Tokyo station, and then use a highway bus [as suggested in this forum]: https://www.jrpass.com/forum/general-japan-travel/posts/my-fuji-from-tokyo
My question is whether this bus would be covered under the JR pass, or whether this would be an additional cost.
And then the next step is from Kawaguchiko to Kyoto, my plan was to get the bus to Mishima station, and then use the JR pass to use the Shinkansen to Kyoto station.
If there are suggestions for improvement, please help!
