My wife and I will buy a three week pass for japan travel from May 12, to may31. She is 68, and I am 77. What are the advantages of the green car over ordinary car pass? Is it only for comfort, or are there other benefits?

Hi Vince,
The main reasons to consider traveling in Green Class are comfort and quiet. The seats offer extra space and offer full reclining options. In general also a lot less people traveling in Green Class making for a much more relaxed travel experience.
In some area's of Japan Green Class cars also offer other small benefits such as complementary drinks, a Japanese newspaper and a small hand towel to wash your hands with.
