Should i get the JRP or not

I think that it may be worth to consider a 7 day JR Pass for your travel Tokyo - Kyoto - Osaka - Tokyo. The 7 day JR Pass is about the same cost as normal return ticket Tokyo - Kyoto/Osaka on the Shinkansen. Only now you get 7 days of unlimited travel for the same price. You can use the JR Pass as well for travel between Kyoto and Osaka and also for travel within Osaka itself on the JR Network.
