I'll be travelling during the Golden Week and is concerned about getting a reserved seat on Hayabusha from Tokyo to Shin-Aomori - Shin-Hakodate - Sapporo (I already purchased a JR pass).
As I went on JR East Train Reservation, it says the cost from Tokyo to Shin-Aomori is JPY 14,800 for 2 people plus a basic fare ticket. For JR Pass passengers, there is no charge for the seat reservation. So it sounds like the JR Pass doesn't cover the Shinkansen ride.
Please give me an update on the JR Pass as what it includes. I'm getting confuse with different information and need to plan my budget.
