Hello,

I hope all is well.
My girldfriend and myself are travelling to Japan in May/June and we were wondering what kind of public transport we should choose. Could you kindly assist us with indicating what kind of tickets/way of transport is most efficient for the following itinerary?

26/May Tokyo (we arrive at 08.40u, Narita airport)
27/May Tokyo
28/May Daytrip Nikko
29/May Tokyo
30/May Hakone
31/May Hakone
01/Jun Magome - Tsumago
02/Jun Tsumago - Nagiso - Kyoto
03/Jun Kyoto

08/Jun Himeji - Osaka
09/Jun Osaka
10/Jun Osaka return flight to Amsterdam.

Hi Rudy,

The 14 day JR Pass is the best match I can find for your trip. By using it from May 28th to June 10th, you'd get the best value out of the pass and it would cover nearly all your travel.

Some notes on usage:

Going to Nikko with the JR Pass. You can use the Shinkansen from Tokyo to Utsunomiya station and from there the local JR Nikko line to, well, Nikko :) This is the fastest route getting there.

Going to Koya-san:
