Is JR Pass the best option for this itinerary?

Hello - can you confirm if all of these legs are possible on JR Pass? Can you also point me to where the timetables are for each of these journeys so I can check the times we need to travel each day and where to reserve seats as a lot of this is during the Japan holidays?

Hiroshima to Osaka - Tuesday 30 April late pm
Oskaka to Kyoto - Thursday 2 May
Kyoto to Kanazawa - Sunday 5 May
Kanazawa to Takayama - Monday 6 May
Takayama to Kawaguchiko - Wednesday 8 May (I think this is a bus, is this covered on JR Pass)
Kawaguchiko to Tokyo - Friday 10 May
Tokyo to Tokyo Narita International - Monday 13 May

Hi there,

Expect for travel (bus or train) to Kawaguchiko, all your routes are covered by the JR Pass. To learn about reaching Kawaguchiko, see:

For travel times, I recommend learning to plan with Hyperdia this way you can find any route/timetable and more. It's a great tool for planning with the JR Pass. We also have a useful interactive map with all JR lines included.

We are travelling tomorrow and haven’t pre-ordered the tickets. Do we have to have bought them before arriving to Japan or can we buy from Hiroshima Airport/that train station? It’s not clear but when I enter the dates in the order function on this site it only gives a start date on 3 May.
