i'm coming with my wife and our 3 years daughter to visit japan during the golden week...
we were told to get the jr pass to facilitate our movement during our stay.. we will be in Osaka and move from there .. will getting the jr pass will be really helpful for us?
is it better to get it online or we can buy it when we arrive?
if we get it online ,is the train from kansai int. airport included in it or not?

For the full JR Pass, you MUST buy the exchange order for it before you arrive in Japan. You cannot buy it in Japan after you arrive.
But whether it is worth the cost or not depends on where you plan to travel. If you do a lot of long distance travel, especially by bullet train, it can save you a lot of money. You can check regular fares on This is HyperDia and see if the total exceeds the cost of the Pass.
