Before we look at ticket prices and see if a JR Pass would be useful, could you let me know what what yokoyama is (did you mean Yokohama).

Also after Osaka, will you be flying from Kansai Airport?

And from nagano intending do short trips near by
after osaka , Kansai and back home

Hi Nelima,

Excuse the late replay, Hyperdia currently has some issues with ticket prices and every thing is at 0 Yen right now. This makes it hard to make an exact list of ticket prices.

I will post a follow up as soon as everything is running again!

In the meantime feel free to ask me any other question you may have :)

Hyperdia is running smoothly again and as promised here's the ticket list:

Nara - Yokohama ¥ 13,840
Yokohama - Kawaguchiko (5 Lakes) ¥ 2,560, please note that ¥1,110 is not covered as part is traveled on a private line.
Kawaguchiko - Nagano ¥ 9,280 (same as above, a fee of ¥1,110 is required due to travel on a private railway between Kawaguchiko and Otsuki station).
Nagano - Matsumoto ¥ 2,970
Matsumoto - Kanazawa ¥ 9,920
(Shirakawago by bus) Takayama - Tsumago ¥ 7,190
Tsumago - Osaka ¥ 10,610
Osaka - Kansai Airport ¥ 1,160

For a total of ¥ 55,330 or ¥ 10,230 in savings as the 14 day JR pass is ¥ 45,100.
