Odawara to Mt.Fuji Fifth Station

Hi dear, me and my partner is travelling and staying at Odawara from Tokyo on coming 12th Nov'16 till 13th Nov'16, a 2 days 1 night trip before travelling to Kyoto.

My question here is:
1) How do i plan for my itinerary as we would like to visit Hakone as well as the Mt Fuji Fifth Station;

2) How do we get to Mt Fuji Fifth Station from Odawara by using our 7days JR Pass?

3) What is the recommended destination we should visit while we are in Odawara?

4) From Odawara, how do we go to Kyoto?

Hi there,

1.) Before I can answer this answer, please specify what 5th station you with to travel to. There are actually 4 places around Fuji-san. All with the name Fuji in it.

2.) Please note that there are no JR lines around Fuji/Hakone. You will have to use other transport. You can find information on how to travel around Hakone here.

3.) Personally I love the lake cruise around lake Ashinoko.

4.) You can use the Hikari bullet train directly from Odawara to Kyoto.

Hi, thank you for the replied.

1) out of 4 places around Fuji-san, which one you will strongly recommend?

2) there will be JR excess from Tokyo to Odawara right?

Hi there,

1.) Actually one :) The places that are called 5th station are the start places for different paths up to Fuji. Most are just a huge parking lot. If you want to visit a nice place to view Fuji and possible do something else interesting, visit Kawaguchiko or Hakone.
