I arrive in Japan only ten days before the start of my journey on the Sunrise Express overnight train.

Is there now a way to reserve a cabin online from Europe?

Hi there,

Unfortunately there is no way to book for the Sunrise Express online - you'll need to do it at a ticket office when you get to Japan.

I was able to get tickets on sunriseexpresstickets.com. I don't think they're affiliated with JR so they said they couldn't guarantee me that they could get the tickets (apparently the competition is quite fierce) but they were helpful. I heard you could also get it on some other website but it's in Japanese.
