Dear JR Pass Team,
I have the JR pass and plan to go from Tokyo to Hakone. Can I take the direct express train (Fuji-Kaiyu Express) from Shinjuku station to Mt Fuji?

Hi Elaine,
Yes, you can but there is an additional fare for the route from Otsuki to Mt. Fuji for maximum of 1,600 yen.
