I wanted to confirm if JR is a good choice to travel to Kawaguchiko Station via Otsuki. Also, does anyone know what is the price and schedule of ticket from Otsuki to Kawaguchiko Station using Fujikyu Railways?

Hi Gabe,
While there are weekend and public holiday JR services up to Kawaguchiko, these are very infrequent (8:10am only last time I looked) and should be planned well in advance. In general if you're going to Kawaguchiko you'll need to use JR to Otsuki and then the non-JR Fujikyu lines from Otsuki to Kawaguchiko.
