pass vs tickets

I would recommand a JRPass for your travel. The 7 day JRPass is about the same price as a normal return ticket Osaka - Tokyo. Now you get ７ days of unlimited travel for the same price. You can for instance use the JRPass to travel to KIX or between Osaka and Kyoto. Making for some very good savings.

The price of the JRPass for childeren below １２ is half price, this also applies for normal tickets. So a JRPass would also be of use for your child.
