How many trips would you need to make for the JRPass to be cost effective v's buying individual tickets? Does the below make the pass worthwhile or better to purchase individually?

Kyoto to Osaka

Hello,
For the Tokyo-Kyoto-Osaka-Tokyo route, individual tickets are a good option. However, if you plan to visit more places within a 7-day period, a Nationwide JR Pass is a very convenient and cost-effective alternative.
