I had bought 7 days JR pass for my next week Japan trip. I am planning to travel by Shinkansen from Osaka to Tokyo. I checked from the HyperDia time table most of trip is run by Shinkansen Nozomi that I understand we cannt use JR pass to travel. Please advise if there are any other Shinkansen for me to travel if I want to reach Toyko on 16 June before 10am.
Can we reserve the seat one day before our travel date and if can how to reserve.

Thank you for ordering the JR Pass!
Hyperdia does indeed show Nozomi trains by default, you can exclude Nozomi trains from your search by clicking the SearchDetails button and de-select the NOZOMI / MIZUHO /HAYABUSA (SHINKANSEN) option. This way you know for sure that the JR Pass is valid. More details on how to plan with Hyperdia can be found in our blog post.
