One more question. I want to purchase a 7 day pass but active it on July 23rd. When can I make reservations for the train travel we intend to do?

Our routes are the following:
Tokyo-Osaka
Osaka-Kyoto
Kyoto-Hakone
Hakone-Tokyo

I assume that it makes sense to purchase the JRPass for this amount travel - would you agree?
