Hakata to Yufuin

Yes the JR Pass covers this train. You can take the train directly from Hakata (Fukuoka) Station.

Hi,
If you're in Fukuoka City then Hakata Station is your only choice. You can see the train timetable here. A slightly faster way would be to take the bullet train to Kurume and catch your train there.

Don't skimp on seeing Fukuoka though - there are many charming sights. The Nanzoin Temple is stunning. The Rakusuien and Yusentei Gardens are both beautiful. Odo Park has gorgeous ocean sunsets, there is also great shopping, and the tonkotsu ramen is quite famous.

Hi Toraneko

We are planing to stay in Hakata 5 days 4 nights and stay in Yufuin 2 days 1 night to experience the onsen hotel. There is some issue on communication for Yufuin's hotel (that we intended to stay) the staff there don't speak english at all and we can't find the official email (direct to the hotel). The hotel we want to book is ほたるの宿仙洞. Any other recommendation or suggestion?
