Eligibility clarification

Hello, i'll be in Japan early April for an 8 days vacation. I planned to purchase JR Pass however, i was saddened with the eligibility requirments. I was in kyoto Sept last year for an official business and i was glad that Japanese embassy gave me multiple entry for 1 year with up to 90 days stay. May I ask if there is a consideration for holders of multiple entry visa to avail the JR Pass even once? I plan to visit kyoto again, osaka, and tokyo and back to nagoya to catch flight back home.
