Hello,
I will be on a business visa when I come to Japan in July. I am planning to buy a JR Railpass.
I’ve read recent answers of Daniel, saying that this won’t be a problem since the stamp in passport says “temporary visitor”.
The answers on Much older posts with the same question are stating that this will not be possible.
Now I’m a little confused.
Can you help me!

Generally speaking, a business visa is not eligible for the Japan Rail Pass. However, it is best to check with our staff before buying to make sure.
Please send us a photo copy of your visa to [email protected], you can blur/remove any personal details. Our staff will then contact you with the result.
