I will be flying into Osaka
Staying 1 night in Shin-Osaka, then travelling to Matsuyama
Will be spending 9 days in Shikoku, then
travelling back to Shin-Osaka from Takamatsu
Staying 1 night at Shin-Osaka then flying off from Osaka
I like to have my voucher changed for the Shikoku rail pass at Matsuyama.
Should I be getting any other passes or buy tickets only for travelling from Shin-Osaka to Matsuyama and from Takamatsu back to Shon Osaka?

If the only remaining travel is Shin-Osaka to Matsuyama and from Takamatsu back to Shon Osaka in a ~10 day period, then a JR Pass would not help you make savings, and I would buy normal tickets or perhaps look at bus fares if you want to save on transport.
You could also take the Ferry from Tokushima to Wakayama and then the train to Osaka or Osaka airport. It could be a fun trip too.
