Multiple passes

Yes, you can buy two passes. The only thing worth considering is that these two passes cannot overlap. The combination in this case works and if anything is ideal because the Tokyo Wide Pass includes access to Kawaguchiko, one of the Fuji five lakes.

Unfortunately these passes cannot be used for Shinkansen between Osaka and Odawara, as this region is in between where the two passes are valid for. And yes, you will need to purchase the Tokyo Wide Pass directly from the JR East site. the Kansai-Hiroshima Pass can be found here.

Thank you for your response! A follow up question - does the Tokyo Wide area pass work within Tokyo? I was reading JR passes do not always work within the city and was wondering if I am only going to Kawaguchiko and not other cities/towns around Tokyo, would it be better to buy tickets separately?

Also, can I buy the pass in Tokyo itself instead of online?
