We are a party of 5, travelling in September.
Here is our itinerary using the bullet trains -
18th September - Tokyo - Kyoto
20th September - Kyoto - Osaka
22nd September -Osaka - Hiroshima (return)
23rd September - Osaka - Tokyo Airport
Is it worth buying the 7-day pass? If so, can we use local trains with the pass?
Where do we collect the passes from? Or can they be sent to a UK address?

Yes, a 7-day Japan Rail Pass is 100% worth it to explore and do this trip with! The JR Pass also includes the local JR Network in cities like Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka and even the Ferry to Miyajima (near Hiroshima).
