Tokyo - Osaka - Mt Fuji

Hi there,

It is not that easy to swing by Fuji on your way from Osaka to Tokyo and I assume you'll be carrying luggage too.

My recommendation would be to visit Fuji as a day trip from Tokyo, this will make the route easier and overall much more enjoyable.

I will change my plan again.
I and my family (total: 4 people) will stay in Japan for 8 days
Day1: Arrive Narita airport in the morning - then go to Osaka
Day2: Osaka
Day3: Kyoto
Day4: Kyoto (Stay in Kyoto in the morning) then going to Tokyo around 3pm
Day5: Tokyo
Day6: Tokyo
Day7: Mt Fuji in the morning until around 6pm by to Tokyo.
Day8: Tokyo - Going to Narita Airport around 4pm.

I am thinking to buy JR 7 days pass for my family. However, for day number 8, the JR pass is expired.
Any ticket or pass recommendation for day number 8 when we only having lunch in Tokyo and we need ticket to go to the airport?
As we are travelling as a group of 4, do you think it might be cheaper if we catch the taxi? I mean catching taxi around Osaka, Kyoto and Tokyo. NOT from airport to Osaka or Tokyo to airport.
