JR EAST Pass purchase

Hello there,

For your itinerary it would be better to buy normal tickets as you travel. A one way ticket Tokyo - Echigo-Yuzawa is ¥ 6,150 and you would have to do a considerable amount more of travel for a JR (East) Pass to pay off.

The Pass does cover most travel you plan to do!

One last question, what kind of pass should i get that covers the train and bus travel around tokyo? The idea of the pass for me is actually not spend cash on transport while i'm in japan and take advantage of advance purchase and just swipe to use so i can budget my other expenses.
