Ise to Hiroshima

Hello there,

I am not sure what you are searching but its definitely not 10 hours from Ise - Hiroshima using the JR Pass. The route is as follows: use local trains from Ise to Nagoya. From there you can use Shinkansen trains to Hiroshima.

Yes - but as far as I can tell that would mean travelling from Ise to arrive at Nagoya before 7.00am. It's just not possible.

The Shinkansen from there to Hiroshima appears not to be avaliable to JapanPass holders at any other time.

It's a pity - but I think I've worked out an alternative that works - by reversing the entire itinerary.

Are you sure? It seems to me that the only option is the Sanyō Shinkansen which (I think) doesn't accept the JapanRail Pass. Apologies if I've got this all wrong.

The Sanyo Shinkansen accepts the JR Pass, you can however not take the Nozomi or Mizuho trains. Instead, you can use the Hikari and Sakura Shinkansen on the Sanyo.

All Shinkansen lines are covered by the JR Pass.

But I can only see Nozomi trains. :-( I feel like I must be stupid.
