Hi. Hubby and I are first timer to Japan.
We hope to focus on sightseeing and some shopping.
We will arrive at and return from Narita airport, and we'll be in Japan for 7 nights.
We are not sure where to visit as there are so many nice places in Japan!
Can u advise on the itenaries so that we can best make use of the rail pass. Thank u.

Hi there,
Most certainly! For 7 days I would advise a visit to Tokyo - Kyoto - either a day trip to Osaka/Hiroshima from Kyoto and then return to Tokyo before flying home. This way you will see both the modern side as well as the traditional side of Japan, all in a nicely packed 7 days of travel. You can then do your shopping the last days in Tokyo before flying home. This itinerary would also help you make great savings with the JR Pass, as it would cover all train routes!
