Hello there,

I can only tell you a 7 day JR Pass is useful once you have completed your itinerary. However if you make a trip to Tokyo or Hiroshima than it is easy to get good value out of the JR Pass.

All places your mention are worth visiting, let me know what you are interested in and I can give you some better recommendations!

We would like to do something local like to do eg going to the local market, country side etc. we love to see the beauty side of the city then just shopping and eating. We don't like anything too touristic however we will still like to cover the main one that must go. Any recommendation will be great. Thanks heaps
