Good question! To answer your here's a list of ticket prices without the JR Pass.

Kyoto -> Nara ¥ 690
Nara -> Kyoto ¥ 690
Kyoto -> Hashimoto ¥ 1,890
Hashimoto -> Osaka ¥ 1,450
Osaka -> Hiroshima ¥ 9,950
Miyajima Hiroshima ¥ 940 (return)
Hiroshima -> Okayama ¥ 5,860
Okayama -> Uno, for the ferry to Naoshima ¥ 570
Uno -> Okayama (way back) ¥ 570
Okayama -> Takayama ¥ 14,300
Takayama --> Tokyo ¥ 14,300

This adds up to a total travel amount of ¥ 51,210 the 14-day JR Pass is ¥ 45,100, so you would save ¥ 6,110.
Not bad, even if I say so myself ;-). You could possibly make further savings by using to JR Pass to travel to/from the Airport or on local JR lines.
