I am going to travel to Japan soon. My friend recommended me to get the 7 day pass for the travel because I will be travelling for 8 days.
My itinerary is as follows:
1. Osaka - Tokyo
2. Tokyo - Nagano/Nagoya/Kanazawa
3. Either three - Osaka
So my question here is which one will be more economical, JR Rail Pass or Individual Ticket?
Another question on my mind is that if by using JR Rail Pass, do I need to pay for the seat fee as well?

That's quite a lot of travel and you will be able to make very good savings using a 7 day JR pass. You can use the JR Pass Fare Calculator to find an approximate ticket cost of a single route or even your full itinerary.
The JR Pass includes free seat reservations and no additional fares are required for any of the routes you wish to travel.
