Hi, I will be in Japan from Oct. 28 to Nov. 1. I plan to go to Okunoshima (Rabbit Island) in one of those days. I will be coming from Nippori, where our hotel is located. Also, I will be purchasing the JR pass and so I need to know some details.



1. What is the best route going to Okunoshima Rabbit Island from Nippori?

  1. What modes of transportation will be covered by JR pass in this specific trip?
    (I’ve read somewhere that there will be a ferry ride. Im wondering if that would also be included in the JR pass).

Hi there,

Here is an example itinerary for you.. The route by train is to Tadanoumi station, from there you can use the ferry. The ferry to Okunoshima is not covered by the JR Pass but it is only a small fare.
