Hi there.

Here are a couple of routes you can consider. Route 3 and 5 are most convenient, all are fully covered by the JR-Pass.

Hope this helps!

Hi Daniel,
Thanks for the info.
I would like to ask another question.
Will I be able to catch this connection train from Hakodate to Tokyo with about 10 minutes in between?
From Hadodate on SHa 22 time 08:08 reach Shi-Aomori at 10:15 ------
Shi-Aomori to Tokyo on HY22 time 10:28?

Yes that should be no problem. When I made the trip it took about 5 minutes to transfer.
Just make sure to look for the ''Shinkansen Transfer Gates'' and show your Railpass to the staff there.
From there go to the right platform and you are good to go! (if you have time left don't forget to grab an eki-bento)

Enjoy your journey!

Hi Daniel,
Is there an early bus I can take from Haneda airport to Tokyo station?
I'm staying at Hotel JAL City Haneda Tokyo , (reached Haneda at 23:00) near the airport and they has free shuttle to the airport the next morning. I want to catch the early morning train to Hakodate and also change my JR pass at the station. Do I have to make reservation for my seat on-line for the shinkansen Hayabusa?(B3)

From Atami what train should I take to go to Ginza area.
I will be staying at Courtyard Tokyo Ginza hotel for 3 days.
Can I use the JR pass to travel around the area?
Still got I day left of my 2 weeks pass.
the rest to the two days should I buy the metro pass or just pay as I travel.
thanks for the trouble.

Hi Helen,

I did not find a bus but you can use the Tokyo Monorail + Yamanote Line to get to Tokyo station. See here as example. Leaving as early as 5.27 in the morning.

For your journey to Hakodate: You can reserve seats for the Shinkansen until departure so I would recommend doing this. However it is not necessary, in this case you could take a seat in a non-reserved train car.

Ginza is actually 5-10 minutes walk from Tokyo station so you can ride the Shinkansen there without havening to make further transfers. You can use to JRP for here to access to Yamanote sen that loops trough Tokyo that stops at many of the famous places.

From Ginza you can also take the Ginza Line to Asakusa or the other way to Shibuya, this metro line is however not covered by the JR-Pass. A metro pass is about 710 Yen, a normal ride on the subway is 150-220 Yen so a day pass is a good deal if you plan on using it a lot.

Hope this helps,
-Daniel
